- Boat trips to the Benagil cave and Ponta da Piedade top almost every list, followed by dolphin watching, kayaking and the Ria Formosa lagoon near Faro. Inland, Silves castle and the Monchique hills are the two day trips worth the drive.
- Which Algarve town is the best base?
- Lagos has the most listings and the best boat scene. Albufeira is the easiest base for families and day trips. Faro suits anyone flying in for a short stay, and Tavira is the quietest of the four.
- How far in advance should you book?
- A week is enough outside July and August. In peak summer the small boat trips sell out several days ahead, and those are the ones worth booking early because the big boats are always available.
- Why do prices differ between websites?
- The same operator lists on GetYourGuide, Viator, Klook and Tiqets, and each platform sets its own margin. The trip is identical. That gap is what this site exists to show.
